activities
and data?
Interested in
creating a new course that provides a more balanced introduction to
statistics for mathematically inclined students?
Interested in
modeling
recommended pedagogy and content for future teachers of statistics?
We invite instructors
who teach a post-calculus introductory statistics course to attend an NSF-sponsored
four-day workshop on incorporating an active-learning and data-oriented
focus into this course. Participants
will receive a complimentary copy of the preliminary edition Statistical
Concepts, Applications, and Theory by Rossman
and Chance, to be published by Duxbury. During
the workshop, participants will immerse themselves in use of the activities
and receive advice for implementing components or the entire course at
their own institution.
