First Lab - Math 37

I also feel it is important to get the students working on the computers immediately. Our labs meet once/week in a separate room (with smaller class sizes). In the first lab, my goal is to introduce them to the computers in that lab and to have them start using the computers in a friendly, informative manner. We go over the course webpage introducing all of the resources available to them from that page. Their main assignment in the first lab is to fill out the course questionnaire . When they submit the form the information is emailed to me and is (relatively) easy to convert to an Excel spreadsheet for further use. For example, some of this data is used in a future class example. Students are also introduced to the l ab manual for the course.
